How does CodeLounge Develop?

Abstract

If you open the website of CodeLounge, you can read a beautiful vision that includes focus on the substance, frequent revisiting, transparency, and making it fun. However, while these words are perfectly suited for a vision and for external visibility, one may wonder exactly how they are cast into practices and a concrete development culture.

In this talk, I’ll discuss the culture of CodeLounge from three points of view: our process, the languages and technologies we adopted, and the projects we are investigating and developing. However, like many other human endeavours, such culture did not come without a significant investment: I’ll also touch how we’re conducting this investment, some mistakes we made in the past, and what we did learn through these years of making software.
